Our trip to Nepal in October 1995 was our first real 'adventure' travel. It was the first time we travelled in the developing world outside of Southern Africa, which is like home so it hardly counts! What prompted the visit in the first place can be traced back to when I was about 8 or 9 years old and I first heard the name Kathmandu. I knew that one day I would have to visit there and this trip was the result of that ambition. It may take me a while to get around to fulfilling my dreams but in the end I generally do!
